At CGA, we believe in a learning approach based on competency and maturity, not age.
This means that academically gifted learners are free to unlock their full potential in studying advanced coursework if they demonstrate the emotional maturity and willingness to do so. In fact, 45% of current CGA students are studying at an accelerated level.
We also place no upper limit on the number of subjects a student may study in an academic year, within reasonable expectation of successful completion.
Through Pearson Edexcel, the UK’s leading Secondary school curriculum provider, Crimson Global Academy students are awarded the International GCSE and International A-Level qualifications on successful completion of our year long accelerated subject courses. These qualifications are globally recognised for their academic rigour, flexibility and breadth of learning.
The International A-Level curriculum is the most widely studied in the world, and in some countries, such as the United States and Canada, exceptional A-Level performance is recognized as a direct substitute for the completion of many first year university papers.
The iLowerSecondary curriculum is run at CGA as a 1 year programme designed to prepare younger students for the senior level and academically rigorous International GCSEs.
The iLowerSecondary curriculum is designed to accommodate ESOL students who are studying in English for the first time. This curriculum prepares students for further study in International GCSEs with English as a first language.
We are in the process of developing this academic pathway and look forward to offering it to families in the near future.
CGA has selected Pearson Edexcel as our primary curriculum partner. Pearson Edexcel is the UK’s leading provider of International GCSE and International A-Level qualifications, recognised throughout the world for their academic rigour and breadth of learning.
Each year, the Pearson run examination board serves a global community of over 3.4 million learners from 6500 schools in 120 countries throughout the world, numbers that are continuing to grow. Demanding, rigorous, inclusive and empowering; Pearson’s programmes benefit from the traditional quality of the British educational system combined with a progressive, international outlook.
CGA is excited to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses beginning this November.
AP courses allow high school students to take classes at the US university level. They allow students to study 38 subjects in-depth and prepare them for college level work.
Most US universities recognize AP credit as college credit. The AP Program offers several awards for high achievement. Each year, over 2.8 million students take AP exams, with most students taking multiple APs during the course of their high school careers. AP is one of the most recognized curricula for top universities and CGA is looking forward to launching this program. We now are taking early expressions of interest for our February 2021 AP Curriculum launch.
