All Students applying to join a CGA US Diploma Program must submit the following Entry Requirements:
Submit a passing grade report from the previous year's program or take the Performance Series Diagnostic Exam, ensuring a grade-level match. For instance, a 6th-grade entrant should score 5.9 or higher for a seamless transition.
If English isn't the primary language of instruction in the current school, students take the Versant English Placement test. Score 58+: Enroll directly in the US Jr. High School Program. Score 50+: Enroll in the US Jr. High School Program with CGA ESOL classes.
Classes meet once per week for 1.5 hours of live instruction with a Jr. High School teacher. Live class times are augmented with a weekly office hour. Office hour is compulsory and held with the classroom teacher. This time is used to work on the 2 hours of homework per class per week, get help from teachers, and connect with peers.
Students study grade level appropriate subject matter across all core content areas. Please see course descriptions for more detail about individual courses.
Students must complete or show proficiency in all Jr. Levels of core courses (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
