Our vibrant community proved exactly that at the recent Crimson Global Academy Greenwich 2025/2026 Prizegiving Ceremony. Coming together across time zones for an unforgettable virtual celebration, students, teachers, parents, and friends gathered to honour the outstanding academic feats, leadership milestones, and extracurricular achievements that defined the past academic year.
The event beautifully highlighted what makes CGA a leader in modern digital schooling: an active, engaged, and highly aspirational school community driving toward unmatched academic success.
Setting the Stage with Global Talent
The ceremony opened with a powerful musical performance by our CGA student Arthur, setting a celebratory and meaningful tone for the day. Later in the ceremony, the audience was treated to a creative, collaborative virtual performance of CGA's own version of "About Damn Time," perfectly synchronised by our CGA students - Njabulo, Yoshino, Pia, and Koko. Despite being spread across the world, their seamless collaboration proved that geographical boundaries cannot limit artistic expression.
Students also celebrated the occasion together at watch parties in London and Dubai, providing an opportunity to connect in person and mark the end of another successful year. These physical gatherings beautifully complemented the virtual event, showcasing the tight-knit nature of our global community.
In his address, Principal Mark Phillips captured the true essence of CGA’s advantage over traditional brick-and-mortar schools:
We don't have expensive science blocks, large auditoriums, huge swimming pools, expansive grounds... But what we do have in abundance is outstanding staff talent. As strong as any school in the world... Every school depends on the success, the energy and commitment of its staff. CGA depends entirely on it.
Honouring Academic Brilliance Across Every Stage
At CGA, our tech-driven framework allows students to move beyond traditional classroom limitations under the guidance of world-class faculty. The Prizegiving celebrated the top performers across multiple learning stages based on examination marks (Top in Subject) and consistent work ethic (Endeavour).

Words of Wisdom from Alumni and Student Leaders
The ceremony welcomed back distinguished CGA Alumna Caitlin C. (Class of 2024), who is currently pursuing an academic scholarship degree in International Business and Economics at Stellenbosch University. Caitlin beautifully detailed how CGA’s emphasis on digital literacy and global citizenship prepares students for modern entrepreneurial success:
It is this kind of vital technological skills development and digital literacy that I feel sets former and current CGA students apart in a rapidly changing world... CGA's strong culture of active global citizenship has also continued to inspire me.
Outgoing Head Students Koko K. and Sophie K. delivered a moving joint address. They celebrated the resilience of students navigating tough exam seasons, reflected on the joy of local in-person watch parties, and urged their peers to always embrace the courage it takes to learn.
Koko has shone a spotlight on the invaluable support networks that anchor the CGA experience:
To our teachers, thank you for being our constants. You are the true heroes of this journey. And to our families, thank you for being the invisible yet steady figures in the background… Today, we get to hit pause on the stress, the future planning and the upcoming deadlines. Today is strictly about celebrating exactly how far we've come together.
Looking ahead, Sophie challenged students to discover genuine fulfilment in their coursework:
As we look towards next year, there's so much to look forward to. More classes and exams… I know it's hard to hold onto this feeling as the pressure and stakes get higher. But perhaps the goal for next year could be to take more time to appreciate the beauty of what we're studying.
Their mature leadership and stellar ambassadorship leave an inspiring blueprint for the next generation of CGA pioneers.

The coming year brings a fresh organisational evolution for Greenwich, moving forward into a model of independent campus leadership. With Ms Siobhan Casey at the helm to drive our progress and innovation, the campus is poised to expand its horizons even further, building on our world-class digital pedagogy and growing extracurricular programs to reach new global heights.
An outstanding year like this is only possible when a community comes together with a shared vision and determination. We want to extend our deepest congratulations and gratitude to:
- Our Phenomenal Students: Whether you walked away with a trophy today or quietly conquered a concept that you used to struggle with, your courage, resilience, and curiosity are what make this school vibrant. You have proven that distance is absolutely no barrier to forming deep bonds and achieving excellence.
- Our Dedicated Families: Thank you for being the steady, supportive figures working tirelessly in the background. Your unwavering commitment, care, and encouragement are the foundations upon which your children's success is built. You share fully in the pride of every single achievement celebrated today.
