US Diploma Pathway

Project-based learning that empowers students to get a head start on college and career.

What is the online US Diploma?

The CGA US Diploma is an online, project-based program that empowers students to take classroom concepts and expand on academic ideas to solve real-world problems and develop digital portfolios that capture their unique talents and vision of the world.

We pride ourselves on providing the perfect mix of project-based, career-focused courses and academic rigor. Students typically graduate with a comprehensive portfolio of project-based work as well as the completion of several AP exams, demonstrating both real-world accomplishment and robust academic achievement.

Our classrooms are engaging and global. Our graduates go on to attend some of the world's most competitive universities.

US Diploma

Curriculum

In every course, students work in an inquiry-based classroom with teachers and peers to expand their knowledge and transfer academic concepts across content areas. Exploring how academics and the world are interconnected gives education a new level of relevance. Throughout a student’s time enrolled in the US Diploma Program they will build portfolios that encourage reflection, and allow them to showcase their mastery of course material.

Project-based and Career-focused classes

Our classes employ real-world projects that enable students to help design their learning experience.

The US Diploma program requires students to take a combination of English, Science, Social Studies, Math languages and elective classes. See below the complete list of classes we offer.

Advanced Placement (AP) courses

We offer a full suite of AP classes that allow students to showcase their academic capability alongside their proven, real-world competencies in different subject areas.

Classes on offer include:

  • AP Calculus AB
  • AP Calculus BC
  • AP Computer Science A

Homeroom

All full-time students (those enrolled in 4 or more courses at CGA) who are pursuing their US Diploma will also be enrolled in a weekly homeroom class, run by a CGA Dean.

Homeroom class is a community-building and mentorship time when the Dean helps students stay on track, as well as sharpen important academic, organizational and life skills.

Student Portfolios

All classes will employ a project-based learning approach in which students will drive their learning.

Under the mentorship of teachers, students will expand on course content to develop projects that interest them and showcase their abilities to innovate within the subject area.
