Abigail is a 10-year-old student living in Massachusetts. Before joining Crimson Global Academy (CGA), she attended two different brick-and-mortar private schools. Her family initially chose a school with a strong reputation, but over time they noticed it was no longer the right academic fit.
The first school had a terrific reputation, but lost some of its academic focus over the years, and our daughter was bored there.
They later moved her to an international school where she spent two years. While the academics were stronger, the curriculum still couldn’t challenge her at the level she needed, and the commute was not sustainable long term. Abigail’s parents began searching for a learning environment that could better match her academic ability.
When Abigail’s family first explored CGA, several features stood out to them immediately. The academic rigor, the live instruction, and the flexibility of online learning. Another key difference was CGA’s approach to ability-based learning, which places students according to their academic level rather than their age.
After assessing Abigail’s academic level, CGA determined that she was capable of studying two grade levels above her age group across her major subjects. Through CGA’s Da Vinci Program, she now receives one-on-one instruction in subjects including math, English, geography, life science, and Python.
The quality of teaching that Abby gets at CGA is nothing less than exceptional – she receives one-on-one instruction from passionate, knowledgeable instructors.
Her parents say the difference has been noticeable from the start.
The look and feel of her instruction is more aligned with what I would expect from college courses rather than sixth-grade classes. It's awesome.
Since starting at CGA in 2025, Abigail has adapted quickly to the independence that online learning requires. She manages her calendar, communicates with her teachers, and organizes her assignments throughout the week.
Her parents say they have watched her confidence grow significantly.
She has also grown more organized, and has become a ‘master of her schedule’, always ensuring that her work is done on time.
For Abigail, one of the biggest differences about CGA is the ability to move at the pace that fits her learning style.
My favorite part of learning online at CGA is being able to learn at my own ability, rather than my age.
For the first time in her education, Abigail feels like the curriculum truly matches her curiosity.
I love learning, and CGA is the first school that seems to understand me.
CGA continues to expand how younger students learn through innovations like EMI (English, Math, Innovation), an AI-enabled primary learning platform designed specifically for younger learners.
EMI was built with input from students, teachers, and families and uses AI as a teaching assistant—not a replacement for teachers. Features such as Socratic questioning, age-appropriate AI interaction, and live teacher support help students build independence while staying engaged in structured learning.
The goal is to give primary students the tools to explore ideas, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning from an early age.
