Crimson Global Academy (CGA) is New Zealand’s first fully-registered private online high school delivering live, real-time teaching to students right in their own home. Designed to challenge, students graduate with the International GCSE and International A-Level qualifications which are globally recognised for their academic rigour, flexibility, and breadth of learning.
CGA offers a wider range of subjects students may not traditionally have access to. Students can enrol part-time in addition to their standard schooling, or full-time with CGA.
Students are placed into courses based on ability, not age, meaning students can go deeper and study more advanced content.
CGA Students study an internationally recognised curriculum through International GCSEs, A Levels and Advanced Placement in a truly global classroom, with classmates hailing from all over the world.
Study forces and motion; electricity; waves; energy resources and transfers; solids, liquids and gases; magnetism and electromagnetism; radioactivity
English is an important part of further studies. Students gain experience with styles of language, language techniques, and grammar.
Study principles of chemistry; inorganic and organic chemistry; and physical chemistry.
Students will study the history of one country through four key topic areas over an extended time scale and for the interpretations of events.
Students will study Organic Chemistry; Energetics, Group Chemistry, Halogenoalkanes & Alcohols; Transition Metals & Organic Nitrogen Chemistry.
At CGA we challenge our students by providing a wider range of subjects they may not traditionally have access to, as well as opportunities to go deeper and study more advanced content through our online education platforms.
Students join classes from anywhere in the world, and have the option to either enrol part-time, in conjunction with their standard schooling, or in a full-time capacity.
At CGA we believe the right educational foundation should be set early.
So we offer programmes for students from age 12 till age 18.

Yes, at Crimson Global Academy we offer full-time enrolment options for students aged 13-18 in the International GCSE curriculum. Speak to an advisor to get started.
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes that US high school students take. A good score in the AP exams can translate into college credit as well.
CGA offers part time AP classes - which means you can take them in the evenings or weekends to secure college credit while in high school.
Enrolling at CGA is easy. We offer both full time and part time options for the International GCSE, A Levels and AP curriculum. Speak to an advisor to get started.
At CGA we offer flexible enrolment options with two major intakes - in January and September - each year. If you want to join outside of these intake times, speak to an advisor to learn more.
Most universities worldwide accept international curricula like the GCSEs and A Levels. At CGA all our students graduate with an academic transcript that can be submitted for applications to global universities. However, you should still check with your university about particular admissions criteria.
If you are ready to accelerate ahead of your traditional school year, you might be able to complete high school early. However, many schools do now allow students to accelerate.
At CGA, you study to your ability, not age. By taking classes and exams based on your ability, you could accelerate past the traditional school age to graduate early. Speak to an advisor to find out more.
“The future of online education will be huge. Firstly, we now live in the digital world and Covid-19 has taught us that people like the ability to access - and have the need actually to access - information and activities online, and remotely in their own home. For a country like New Zealand that has suffered from the tyranny of distance, online learning is hugely beneficial - both in terms of exporting the talent of our teachers to a global audience, as well as our unique subject matter, particularly in areas like agriculture. It also enables New Zealand students to access the very best teaching from around the world, and empowers them through a personalised approach tailored to the individual.”
