At Crimson Global Academy (CGA), community is an important part of the student experience. While our students learn online from around the world, we also create opportunities for them to connect in person—building friendships, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging beyond the classroom.
In March 2026, we hosted three Asia meetups across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan (Taichung). Each event brought families together in a relaxed setting, allowing students to meet face-to-face, share experiences, and enjoy meaningful time with peers who understand the CGA learning journey.
Online learning offers flexibility, structure, and access to excellent teaching. For many families, however, it is equally important that students feel connected and supported socially.
Our student meetups help to:
For many students, meeting in person reinforces a simple but powerful message: they are part of a real school community, not just an online timetable.
In Singapore, the meetup brought together 10 families, with about 25 people total—a lively, vibrant gathering with a wonderful mix of parents and students.
Students spent the afternoon art jamming together, and what stood out most was how naturally friendships formed. After spending three hours together, several students chose to continue the day by going out for coffee—completely on their own initiative—which is always a strong sign that real connection was made.
We also received multiple pieces of feedback from parents saying how much they enjoyed the event and how meaningful it was to meet other CGA families in person.
Highlights:
In Taichung, we held a small and friendly meetup with four families joining. Students took part in a high-energy activity that many found both enjoyable and engaging. Parents shared that it was especially nice to see students fully involved and active throughout the session.
We ended the day with dinner, giving families time to unwind and connect through conversation in a warm and supportive setting.

Our Hong Kong meetup began with a relaxed lunch, giving students time to introduce themselves and connect in a comfortable setting. We then continued the afternoon with an escape room activity, which encouraged teamwork, communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
It was a wonderful way to bring students together—especially those meeting in person for the first time—and to see friendships form naturally through shared experiences.

These March meetups are part of our wider commitment to building a connected, supportive community for CGA students and families across Asia. We’ll continue to create opportunities for students to meet, make friends, and feel proud to be part of CGA—wherever they are in the world.
If you’re considering online school and wondering what community looks like at CGA, we’d love to share more.
