Every family who joins Crimson Global Academy (CGA) brings their own story. For one family now based in Montenegro, education has become as much about movement and discovery as it is about textbooks.
Originally based around the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, the family made the decision to relocate to Europe.
CGA Mum of two, Victoria, reflects on their journey with pride. With a background rooted in Europe - her husband French, and she herself from Australia and Russia they found their way back. Together they are raising two boys, Matisse who is fifteen and Milan who will soon be fourteen.
Today they are settled in Montenegro, though travel remains a constant part of their lifestyle.
Like many European families, they started with the familiar path of local schools. But something felt missing.
Having attending a traditional school in Australia and three years of homeschool, the family were still looking for something more.
At CGA students are placed according to ability and maturity rather than age . This international model allows ambitious learners to accelerate in certain subjects while receiving support in others. For families whose children feel held back by age-based classrooms, this approach can be transformative.
When asked what led them to look for an alternative, Victoria responded:
It was CGA's focus on specific subjects. It gives students the flexibility to travel through the Da Vinci programme.
The CGA Da Vinci Programme offers one-to-one instruction at a pace that suits each child . For this family, the ability to combine structured classes with freedom of travel was the perfect solution.
Their boys now learn with students from over sixty-five countries . They attend small, live classes online and follow the British curriculum of International GCSEs and A Levels. For parents in Europe who want globally recognised qualifications, this is an important reassurance.
Adjusting to online school has been a positive step for the boys.
It's the rigorous pace - they need to be more organised and take education seriously. Having online education gives them balance with sports, arts and connecting with their peers, not only online.
The small class sizes at CGA allow for closer teacher-student relationships, something the boys value highly.
One highlight of their time so far has been the CGA London trip. Meeting classmates in person, sharing experiences, and capturing photographs together brought the online friendships into the real world.
Outside of school, sailing is a major part of family life. While they are not yet committed to a long-term voyage, their plan is to begin exploring the Adriatic and Mediterranean seas.
For families like theirs, travel is not separate from education.
We travel a lot throughout Europe. Travel is part of their education.”
When asked what she would say to parents considering CGA, Victoria does not hesitate:
It's a great opportunity to find quality education without being stuck in school. It offers mobility, and meeting people from different cultures. Your children can learn from travel at the same time as having a high level education.
As they prepare for time in Monaco later this year, one thing remains constant. Wherever they go, their boys’ education will travel with them.
For families across Europe, Crimson Global Academy offers the same promise — world-class schooling, flexibility for international lifestyles, and a community that extends far beyond the classroom.
