Crimson Global Academy has welcomed 2026 with energy, connection, and celebration across its global community. The year began with virtual orientations, in-person meet-ups, talent showcases, and professional learning events, all reinforcing CGA’s commitment to fostering a connected international online school community.
From student engagement activities to global meet-ups, the start of the year reflects how CGA blends online learning with real-world connections, bringing together students, families, and educators from around the world.

Ahead of the new academic term, CGA Aoraki Campus hosted a series of virtual orientation sessions, online social events, and in-person gatherings across several locations: Fearnley Grounds in Sydney, New Farm Park in Brisbane, Cornwall Park in Auckland, Hagley Park in Christchurch, Hamilton, and the Crimson Office in Tokyo.
A Virtual Social Day was held before the start of term during assembly, bringing together nearly 200 Aoraki students for an engaging welcome. Icebreaker games, virtual scavenger hunts, and quizzes encouraged everyone to participate, while a live word cloud invited students to share what they were most looking forward to in 2026.
These activities helped ensure students and families felt informed, supported, and connected as they began the new school year in CGA’s global learning environment.
The celebratory spirit continued during CGA’s Got Talent showcase at the Greenwich Campus. Held during assembly, the event featured a wide range of performances from both students and staff.
Musical acts, singing, sports demonstrations, and even cooking skills highlighted the diverse interests and talents within the school community. The showcase was a reminder that CGA is not only focused on academic excellence in online education, but also encourages creativity, confidence, and student expression.
As students prepared to return, faculty members from the Aoraki Campus participated in an in-person professional development session. The program focused on strengthening collaboration, aligning best practices, and ensuring staff are well-equipped to support students throughout 2026.
This commitment to continuous improvement reflects CGA’s focus on delivering high-quality online learning experiences while building strong relationships across its international campuses.

CGA’s global reach was further demonstrated through a recent student and family meet-up in Miami, Florida, held in February during the U.S. campus term break.
Participants visited the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, touring the campus and laboratories while gaining valuable insights into future university pathways and career opportunities.
The meet-up concluded with a visit to Everglades National Park the following day, where families enjoyed an airboat ride, nature walks, and a boat cruise. The immersive experience combined learning and shared adventure, strengthening bonds within CGA’s international student community.

The strong start to the year continues, with several exciting events ahead for the CGA community.
In March, the 2026 CGA Camp will take place in Melbourne, bringing students together for connection and shared experiences. Across Asia, one-day meet-ups in Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong will provide further opportunities for families to meet current CGA students and parents, strengthening relationships across the region.
Families are also invited to attend a student and family meet-up in Valencia, Spain, offering a unique experience centred on learning, exploration, and global connection.
CGA is also preparing to host its first in-person graduation ceremony for the U.S. Diploma Pathway Class of 2026, marking an important milestone for the school and celebrating the achievements of graduating students and their families.
With shared ambition, global connection, and a commitment to excellence, CGA steps confidently into 2026: ready to learn, grow, and achieve together. It promises to be a year of opportunity, collaboration, and community across every corner of the CGA network.
