Every year, Niche asks students and parents what their school is like, then weighs their answers against national education data. In the Niche 2027 rankings, that combination places Crimson Global Academy (CGA) at #2 Best Private Online High School in America, up from #5 last year. It also makes CGA the highest-ranked co-educational school on the list.

The Crimson Global Academy Niche ranking rests on a year of hard work from our students and teachers, and on 209 reviews from the community that knows CGA best. It’s their achievement as much as ours.

What should a great online school actually be judged on? This year, for the first time, Niche answered that with a methodology built specifically for private online high schools, using factors designed around online instruction. Niche’s best online high schools rankings now list public and private schools separately, and under the new measures, CGA has moved from #5 to #2. The one school ranked above us is girls-only, which makes CGA the highest-ranked co-educational school on the list.

That matters to us because online isn’t a version of something else at CGA. It’s what the school was built for from day one. Students are placed by ability rather than age, and every live lesson is recorded so it can be revisited. At CGA, a student can start AP biology as soon as they’re ready for it, whatever their age or year group. It’s how we approach maths and science across the school, with students moving into Advanced Placement (AP) courses, A Levels, and International GCSEs when they’re ready rather than when their age says so.
