What's the difference between part-time and full-time? Can they transition from PT to FT?

Part-time study is available for students who want to take additional subjects alongside their regular schooling. These students can attend courses in the evenings and on weekdays and enjoy full access to all CGA clubs and community events. They will receive an official school transcript and academic report.

For students opting for full-time study, CGA will serve as their primary education provider. They can tailor their schedule to include day, evening, and weekend classes. Full-time students will also have access to all CGA clubs and community events, and they will receive an official school transcript and academic report. Additionally, full-time students are eligible for student leadership positions, as well as Academic, Career, and Social Counseling. They will graduate with qualifications meeting International University Entrance Standards.

Students can transition from part-time to full-time from age 8-9. Some may transition into full-time at a faster pace, depending on their academic ability.

What curriculum do you teach?

Students will be part of the Accelerated Education (AE) program. We have chosen a curriculum and resources that align with the learning needs of students at these grade levels. Our highly qualified teachers can scaffold material and differentiate based on the students' needs.

What is involved in a PEC session?

A PEC session typically involves a discussion between the Personalized Education Coach (PEC) and the student. Here's what's typically involved:

Goal Setting: The PEC collaborates with the student to establish both short-term and long-term goals within the context of their courses and time at CGA.

Progress Monitoring: The PEC reviews the student's progress in their current courses, assessing whether they are meeting their academic milestones and making adjustments as needed to ensure continued success.

Reflective Practice: The session may involve reflective discussions where the student and PEC reflect on past experiences, challenges, and successes, identifying areas for growth and celebrating achievements within their courses

Advocacy and Support: The PEC acts as an advocate for the student, addressing any concerns or obstacles they may face and providing guidance and support to help them navigate challenges effectively.

Overall, a PEC session encompasses personalised guidance, goal setting, progress monitoring, advocacy, and relationship building, all aimed at supporting the student's academic success, personal growth, and overall well-being within the personalised education mode.
