The International A Level Biology course is spread out over two years with the possibility for an Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level or Advanced (A) Level qualification.
Students will study Molecules, Diet, Transport & Health; Cells, Development, Biodiversity & Conservation; Energy, Environment, Microbiology & Immunity; Respiration, Internal Environment, Coordination & Gene Technology; and Practical Skills.
The Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level in Biology qualification consists of six externally-examined units. The AS Level consists of the three units and the A Level consists of three additional IA2 units. The AS qualification may be awarded as a discrete qualification or may contribute 50 per cent towards the International A Level qualification.
For both qualifications a minimum of 10% of the marks across the papers will be awarded for mathematics at Level 2 or above.

Eexternal assessment offered three times a year for each of the six units.
